IIP.NET Customer Information

These pages are devoted to the customers of OSI Intergated Internet Project, and will provide many information useful to them.

Becoming a New Customer

Since you are our new customer, we expect you to perform the following steps:
    1. To obtain an IP address space, you should fill in the RIPE-141 IP request form (in English) and send it to noc@iip.net
    2. Subscribe to the mailing list (see below)
    3. At the time your IP connection is established, get usage of our proxy server (see below)

The Mailing List

The customers' mailing list is driven by Majordomo, an automated list processor. To get additional ionformation, you can send mail to Majordomo@iip.net with one word "help" in the body text. The human administrator of the lists can be contacted by e-mail Majordomo-Owner@iip.net

Subscribing and Unsubscribing

Only our customers and their partners are allowed to subscribe to the list. To subscribe to the list, send mail to iip-customers-request@iip.net with the body text
"SUBSCRIBE your_email_address".

To unsubscribe from the list, send mail to iip-customers-request@iip.net with the body text
"UNSUBSCRIBE your_email_address".

Sending Messages to The List Members

Message sent to iip-customers@iip.net will be re-sent to all list members.

The Proxy Server

Open Society Institute has installed a proxy cache server with 8 gigabyte cache size. All our customers are allowed and encouraged to use this proxy.

To get use of it, in your browsers set HTTP, FTP and GOPHER proxy server address to proxy.iip.net, with the port number 3128.
